The AE Limerick Study Abroad Program:  May 17 - Aug 22, 2027 (Applications due Dec. 15, 2026)

The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering has established a very successful and well-subscribed summer semester Study Abroad program on the University of Limerick campus in Ireland. It is designed for third and fourth-year students. All courses are designed and taught by AE faculty. For more information, contact Dr. Lakshmi Sankar

Courses

Students select 12 or 13 hours of courses from the following list:

First 5 weeks:(Choose 6 to 7 hours)

  • AE 3030 Aerodynamics (4 hours)
  • AE 4080 Aerothermodynamics (3 hours, AE Options course)
  • AE 3330 Aerospace Vehicle Performance (3 hours)
  • AE 3530 System Dynamics & Vibrations (3 hours)
  • AE 4699 Undergraduate research ( 1 to 2 hours, max)
  • AE 4701 Wind Engineering (3 hours, AE Options course)


Second Five Weeks (Choose 6 to 7 hours)

  • AE 3531 Control System Design and Analysis (3 hours)
  • AE 4361 Space Flight Operations (3 hours, AE Options course)
  • AE 4451 Jet & Rocket Propulsion (3 hours)
  • AE 4532 Spacecraft Flight Dynamics (3 hours)
  • AE 4699 Undergraduate Research (1 to 2 credit hours)

Program Costs & Deadlines

The following cost estimates do not include airfare:

  • $5700 - Program Fee (includes apartment-style housing and supplementary insurance)
  • Tuition Fees (minimum 12 hours). Out-of-State students who matriculated before fall 2025 are eligible for instate tuition
  • Applicable Technology Fees
  • Students will buy their own meals at campus restaurants, arrange for their own airfare and ground transportation

Deadlines:

  • December 15, 2026: Application and deposit of $500 due. Apply at https://atlas.gatech.edu/
