Scott King [m]
Scott received his BS in Aerospace Engineering with high honor from Georgia Tech in May 2008. He has worked with Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training and Support during the summers of 2006 and 2007, where his work involved mechanical design and simulation, project management, and procurement. Scott began work in the High-Power Electric Propulsion Laboratory (HPEPL) in January 2008 where he worked with various experimental plasma diagnostics and magnetic field simulations. Scott joined the HPEPL as a graduate student in May 2008 and is currently researching a low-Earth orbit ion engine and designing the magnetic field of an 8-cm ion thruster. His interests include plasma physics, RF plasmas, electromagnetism, and hypersonic aerodynamics.

Doug Palmer [m] - Graduate Research Assistant
Doug received his BS in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech in August 2006, and has worked in the HPEPL since early 2005.  His undergraduate research included Thrust Stand and Inclination Control system layout, Inverted Pendulum Thrust stand fabrication, startup CAD modeling of the Vacuum Test Facility, and Single Pilot UAV simulation.  He is currently researching annular helicon plasma sources and combined annular helicon Hall effect thrusters.

Logan Williams [m] - Graduate Research Assistant
Logan graduated with his BS in Mechanical Engineering with highest honors from Georgia Tech in August of 2006, joining HPEPL the same month.  His current research involves the testing of carbon nanotube field emission cathodes and dual-use propellants.  Other areas of interest include helicons, magnetic nozzles, and computer simulations both chemical and electromagnetic.
