What:  In this course you will learn the fundamentals of space and flight dynamics.

 

How:   By means of lectures, quizzes, homework, and one final.

 

Homeworks count for 10% of your grade. Quizzes count for a total of 90% of your grade.

10%+90% = 100%.

 

Compute your grade: less than 45%=F, between 45% and 55%=D, between 55% and 65%=C, between 65% and 75%=B, above 75%=A. Think that’s easy? Wait until we get down to business.

 

You are allowed ONE sheet (two-sided) of HAND-WRITTEN formulas (8 ½ x 11) for each exam, including the final.

 

Prerequisite material:

 

AE 2220. You MUST know and be able to refer to ALL the material covered in the textbook “An Introduction to Dynamics” by McGill and King. That includes Chapter 7. 

 

AE 3515. You MUST know and be able to refer to ALL the material covered in the textbook “System Dynamics” by Ogata.

 

 

 

 

There probably exist solutions to the assigned problems that circulate in your environment. Don’t even think about using them because (a) it’s unethical and (b) it’s stupid: Only the exams carry a significant percentage of the grades. The only reason to do the homework is to become ready for the exams.
