Biography

 

Dr. Andrew Makeev joined Georgia Tech in the rank of assistant professor of aerospace engineering in 2007.  Prior to joining Georgia Tech Dr. Makeev was a principal engineer for Risk Analysis at Delta Air Lines.  Dr. Makeev is an expert in composite and metallic materials, structural methods, prognostics and reliability.

Research Interests

 

Condition based maintenance; durability and damage tolerance technologies for composite and metallic materials and structures; experimental characterization of constitutive properties and failure criteria for structural design of composites.
