Dr. Schrage is a Professor in the School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech and also serves as the Director of the US Army Center of Excellence in Rotorcraft Technology (CERT) and Flight Simulation Laboratory (FLIGHT SIM). He is also Co-Director of the Georgia Tech Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory (ASDL). He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses and supervises research in Concurrent Engineering, Integrated Product/Process Development (IPPD) and Aerospace Systems Design, as well as other aerospace engineering disciplines. He has numerous published articles and several book chapters in these areas. He has served as a government senior executive involved in the design and development of Army aviation systems and has served as a consultant to a broad cross-section of the aerospace industry. He has served on several AIAA Technical Committees such as Aircraft Design, V/STOL Aircraft and MDO, and national advisory boards, such as the Army Science Board, Air Force Studies Board, and NASA's Aeronautics Research and Technology Subcommittee (ARTS) for Materials and Structures. He serves as the Director of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Helicopter Society. He is also a member of the MIT team addressing Lean Aircraft Initiatives for the US Air Force and Aerospace industry.
