The following links are not required for AE
3051 and are meant solely to expose the student to additional
educational
resources.
Fluid Mechanics Links
Aerospace
Digital Library
This is a digital library of useful material
to support undergraduate and graduate aerospace engineering programs.
You
will also find links to other educational resources here.
NASA's
Glenn Research Center
This site contains a beginner's guide to
aerodynamics
and wind tunnel web pages. The best part of this web page is the free
aerodynamics
software called FOILSIM.
Java
Applets for Engineering Education
This site has a few of fluid mechanic JAVA
applets that can demonstrate many concepts.
General Engineering Links
ASME
Engineering Software Library
This is the software library of the American
Society of Mechanical Engineers. Lot's of shareware and freeware. Check
out the Fluids section.
AMS-LaTeX
This powerful typesetting system was created
by Donald Knuth of Stanford University. Authors and publishers
worldwide
use TeX to produce high-quality technical books and papers. TeX does a
superior job of formatting complex mathematical expressions. The power
of TeX lies in its ability to handle complicated technical text and
displayed
mathematical formulas. When coupled with a high-quality
phototypesetter,
TeX produces results equal in quality and appearance to those produced
by the finest traditional typesetting systems. TeX input files are
ASCII-coded
representations. They are easily transported, thereby facilitating
manuscript
sharing among authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers. This
capability
enables research results to be published and distributed electronically.
