Overloads Are Not Guaranteed
Our intent is to place students in the classes they need while minimizing the frustration of the overload request process. Although we do our best to accomodate all students, we may not be able to grant your overload request.
Request Procedure
- Visit OSCAR to submit your request using the On-Line Registration Override Request System. You will be required to login using your GTID number (90x-xx-xxxx) and PIN. Be prepared to provide information about the course/section you are requesting.
- You will also be asked to provide a reason for granting your overload. Make sure it is something more meaningful than "The class is full." We need to know why you cannot wait until the following term to complete the course in question.
- You will receive an auto-generated email with the decision. You can also see if an overload is granted by logging into OSCAR and clicking on "Check Your Registration Status" in the OSCAR Registration Menu.
- If your overload is granted, it is your responsibility to register for the course through OSCAR.
Restrictions
- Overloads may only be requested during certain time windows.
- The OSCAR website is the only method for requesting an overload into an AE course. If we do not receive your request through the above procedure, it will be disregarded.
