ALL AE GRADUATE STUDENTS

  • Georgia Tech Graduate Student Orientation will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at the Robert W. Ferst Center. Check-In begins at 8:30 am and the program will run until noon.
  • AE Orientation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in Room 442 of the Montgomery Knight Building, 10 am -Noon
  • Graduate Check-in and New GRA/GTA Processing will be held during the GradExpo on Wednesday, August 13 & Thursday, August 14, 9am - 4pm.
    • This is where you will set up your payroll paperwork, approval to work, and Social Security number. Visit the graduate admissions site or click here for details.
  • Obtain a BuzzCard (student ID card) and your OIT e-mail account early.
    • You need both items to use the computer clusters for registration.
  • New Graduate Students may move into their residence halls beginning August 16, 2008. Those who wish to move in early may begin moving on August 11, 2008 at a cost of $55/night until the 15th. Visit the housing website for details.

 

INTERNATIONAL AE GRADUATE STUDENTS ONLY

  • The Office of International Education will hold four Immigration Sessions:
    • Tuesday, August 12 from 2:30PM -4:00PM in the Student Center Ballroom.
    • Friday, August 15 from 9AM -10:30AM in the Student Center Ballroom.
    • Monday, August 18 from 3:30PM-5:00PM in the Student Center Theater.
    • Thursday, August 21 from 1:00PM-2:30PM in the Student Center Theater.
    • If you are a new F-1 or J-1 visa holder, it is MANDATORY that you attend ONE of these sessions.
